Is Birth at Home a good fit for you?
What is the next step? Midwifery Intake Form

BwB asks potential clients to be in good health, committed to their pregnancy, willing to learn, follow through on plans/commitments.  They must be open to alternative therapies, non-interventive pregnancy care and birth experiences in an “out of hospital” setting.

BwB does NOT accept high risk pregnancies. BwB vigilantly screens a woman for any developing conditions that are contraindicated for a home-birth. Appropriate referrals are made in the interest of mother and baby’s well being or if requested care falls outside the midwife’s legal or personal scope of practice as described in her “standard of practice” guidelines.

Benefits of "homebirth"  at your location of choice:
In a “homebirth” setting, there are no routine medical procedures, time limits, interruptions, staff shift changes, technological interventions, and disruptions. This comfortable familiarity and continuum of care throughout labor and birth helps contribute to shorter, easier, less stressful labors, increased maternal confidence, and greatly improves outcomes for mother and infant.

“Homebirth” provides more choices for the birthing woman and her partner. These choices are designed for the comfort and well-being of the birthing woman and her baby and not for the comfort or convenience of the birthing attendants.

“Birth at Home” is a safe alternative
for healthy low-risk women and their healthy babies.
